Metroline Dart Case Buying Guide

Metroline makes dart cases. It is a division of Midwest Textile Mfg. Corp in Suamico, Wisconsin, and its cases are handcrafted in the USA. Our Metroline range runs from a one-set fiberglass holder to the Executive, which carries 8 to 10 fully assembled sets. For hard-shell, aluminum and drop sleeve styles from other makers, see all dart cases.

Which Metroline case is best for league night?

For most league players the Large Original is the all-round pick: four assembled sets plus a compartment for a rosin bag, quarters and other match-night extras.

  • Team captains: the Executive has four tubes for tips and shafts and a pocket that takes 8½ x 11 in paper for scoresheets and rosters.
  • A deep rotation in a compact case: the Split Back carries four sets, with tubes for tips, shafts and quarters.
  • Doubles partners or couples: the Split Back Junior gives each player their own side.
  • A match set plus a backup: the lightweight Ultra has double the interior pocket space of earlier Metroline cases.

Which Metroline case is best for carrying one set?

Choose the Associate if you want pockets, or the bare Fiberglass Insert if you want the smallest carrier. The Associate wraps a fiberglass insert that holds one assembled set, adds pockets for flights and shafts, closes with a zipper and includes a clip and tube. The Fiberglass Insert on its own drops into a pocket or purse and fits any standard steel tip or soft tip set.

The same fiberglass shell sits inside our Single Pak Dart Case, a nylon case with accessory pockets. For a simple molded option, try the Laserdart Drop Sleeve Case.

Metroline or Casemaster: which case should I choose?

Choose Metroline for multi-set capacity and a wide choice of colors, and Casemaster if you want a rigid shell. Casemaster is made by GLD Products of Muskego, Wisconsin.

  • The Casemaster Sentry holds six fully assembled darts in rigid foam slots that keep open flights from being crushed.
  • The Casemaster Plazma holds three assembled darts up to 7 in (18 cm) long in a nylon and hard resin shell.
  • The Casemaster Legion carries three complete sets in heavy duty aluminum.
