GranBoard Buying Guide
GranBoard is a line of Bluetooth electronic dartboards made by GRAN DARTS that keep score through the GranBoard app on your phone, tablet or smart TV, including online matches against other players. The GranBoard3s has a 15.5 in target, the size the NDA league guidebook references. Throw soft tip darts of 20 grams or less, such as our Laserdarts soft tip barrels.
GranBoard3s, 132 or Dash: which GranBoard should I buy?
Buy the 3s for online play and a full-size soft tip target, the 132 if you also throw steel tip, and the Dash for a lighter, lower-cost board.

How loud is a GranBoard?
No electronic board is silent, since every dart makes a sound as it lands, but the GranBoard3s and Gran Board Dash are both built to cut that noise for indoor play.
- GranBoard3s: acoustic absorbent material in every segment deadens sound and impact.
- Gran Board Dash: a shock absorbing mat and an impact mat cut down bounce and noise, so it plays quietly in a living room or game room.
The 132 listing makes no noise claim, so if quiet play is your priority, choose the 3s or the Dash.
What do I need to set up and play a GranBoard?
- A device with the GranBoard app. The 3s and Dash need Android 9 or later or iOS 12 or later. The 132 needs Bluetooth 4.0 and does not work with Amazon Fire devices.
- Soft tip darts of 20g or less. Heavier darts wear the segments faster. The Laserdart Black Widow Soft Tip #1 comes in 16g, 18g and 20g.
- The right height and distance. Center of the bull at 5 ft 8 in (173 cm), throw line 8 ft (244 cm) from the board face.
- The right screws. With the Gran U-shape bracket, use M4 x 8mm countersunk screws, never tap screws, which can damage the sensor sheet. The Gran Darts Tripod Stand skips drilling altogether.
Which GranBoard replacement part do I need?
Match the part to the symptom, and confirm your board model first, because sensor matrices are model-specific and not returnable once opened.
- Cracked or worn segment: Replacement Segments, a set of 2 for the GranBoard 2, 3 or 3s.
- Scoring unreliable across the board: the sensor matrix for your model, either the 1, 2 and 3 matrix, the 3s matrix or the 132 matrix.
- Dead spots on a 3s: the 3s Replacement Rubber Sheet.
- Bent or loose wire frame on a 3s: the 3s Replacement Spider.
The 3s and 132 carry a limited 3 month manufacturer warranty, with segments excluded as a wear item.
What are the GranEye and Gran LED accessories?
They add lighting and mounting options to a Gran setup. GranEye is Gran Darts' AI-powered scoring system, and it works with both GranBoard and steel tip board play. For GranEye owners we carry the GranEye Sync LED light ring, which reacts to every hit, and the magnetic GranEye Mag Mount for drill-free installs. The Gran Darts LED Mat sits at the throw line, connects by USB and lights up with your throws on a GranBoard 3 or 3s.
Should I get a GranBoard or a bristle dartboard?
Get a GranBoard if you want automatic scoring, online opponents and soft tip darts. Get a bristle board if you play steel tip leagues, where you throw from 7 ft 9¼ in at a sisal board like the Winmau Blade 6. Plenty of players own both, and the Gran Board 132's steel tip sized target helps practice carry over between them.
