The Collette shaft pairs a lightweight aluminum body with a top that unscrews, so a damaged tip doesn't mean replacing the whole shaft.
The aluminum construction keeps the shaft light near the barrel, and the replaceable screw-in top lets you swap out a stripped or cracked top without buying a new shaft. 2BA threads mount it to any standard dart body.
