Ruthless Flights Buying Guide

Our Ruthless range is flights in the Amazon shape, Ruthless's standard flight profile, and every one slides into a shaft with a standard flight slot for steel tip or soft tip play. You can choose solid and neon colors, see-through tints, embossed clear film or printed designs, so matching a set is easy. Pair them with our dart shafts and keep spares in one of our dart cases.

What is the Ruthless Amazon flight shape?

Amazon is the name Ruthless gives its standard flight profile, so it seats in a standard shaft slot and flies like a standard-shape flight. Standard is the largest common shape, which gives the most drag and stability and suits most players, especially anyone still settling their throw.

If you want less drag, try a slim cut from another line, like the Rock Hard Slim or the Pentathlon Slim.

How do Ruthless flights compare with thicker flights?

Choose Ruthless for color and design variety, and choose a flight with a stated micron rating when durability matters most. Flight thickness is measured in microns, and 100 micron is the most popular. Our Ruthless listings describe the film as thin and lightweight rather than giving a rating.

For a stated thickness, Rock Hard Flights are 100 micron and 150 Micron Flights are thicker again. Thicker flights last longer, but they are stiffer, so a following dart deflects off them more.

Which Ruthless flight finish should I pick?

Pick by how you want to spot your darts in the board and in your case:

Buy two or three sets of one finish so a torn flight never leaves you with mismatched darts.

How do I stop flights falling out or splitting?

Lock the flight to the shaft and protect its edges. Flights fall out when the shaft's grip loosens, and they split when darts land close together.
