Condor Flight and Shaft Guide
Condor molds the flight and shaft as one piece, so there is no flight-to-shaft joint to loosen, twist or pop apart mid-game. Most Condor units come in three lengths, Short, Medium and Long, and thread into a standard barrel like any shaft. They replace both parts of a regular shaft and flight setup, and we carry Laserdart Widow designs on the same one-piece build for Laserdarts fans.
Can I use Condor flights with my regular shafts?
No. A Condor unit replaces both the flight and the shaft, so it is not compatible with separate flights or shafts. Unscrew your current shaft and thread the Condor unit into the barrel in its place.
The trade-off is simple. You lose the joint that works loose, but when a flight tears you replace the whole unit, and you choose length and shape together. If you change flights often or like to mix any flight with any shaft, a standard setup such as SuperGrip Locked Shafts may suit you better.
How is Condor different from Cosmo Fit Flight?
Condor molds the flight and shaft as one piece, while Cosmo Fit Flight keeps them as two parts that lock together. That changes what you replace and how finely you can tune a dart.
| Condor | Cosmo Fit Flight | |
|---|---|---|
| When a flight tears | Replace the whole unit | Replace only the flight |
| Lengths | Short, Medium, Long | Eight numbered sizes |
| Shaft options | Chosen with the flight | Locked or spinning; carbon, aluminum, titanium or Gear |
Both thread into a standard barrel, and both come in Laserdart Widow designs, like the Fit Flight Laserdart Widow. Compare the full Cosmo range.
What is the difference between Condor Zero Stress and Condor Axe?
Both are one-piece flight and shaft units from Condor's Zero Stress system. In our range, the difference is mostly shape and style options.
- Zero Stress Flight & Shaft: the solid-color line in Standard, Shape, Slim and T/D (pear), with up to eleven colors, like the Zero Stress Standard.
- Axe: adds signature and graphic designs, metallic and graduated finishes, and a Wing Slim cut, like the Axe Shape.
- Axe 3 fin: three blades instead of a flat flight, in Standard, Shape, Slim and Narrow, like the Axe 3 fin Standard.
Which Condor length and shape should I pick?
Match the length of the shaft you throw now, then change one step at a time. Shorter shafts generally suit front grippers or darts that sit too steep in the board, and longer shafts suit rear grippers or darts that hang.
- Standard: the most surface area and stability.
- Shape: Condor's small standard cut.
- T/D (pear): wider than Slim, for more surface without a full standard.
- Slim, Wing Slim and Narrow: less drag for a flatter flight path.
A few graphic designs come in Short and Long only, so check the options on each listing.
Are Condor flights available in Laserdarts designs?
Yes. The Laserdart Widow comes on the one-piece Zero Stress build in Widow Shape and Widow Slim, and the Slim comes in black, white or red. It is an easy way to dress a Black Widow set without a separate flight and shaft. Every Laserdarts barrel carries our lifetime barrel guarantee.
Which Condor soft tips do you carry?
We carry two Condor 2BA soft tips, both in 40-count bags. Condor 2BA Soft Tip Points are standard length in twelve colors, handy for color-coding a set. Condor Ultimate 2BA points are 1.2 in (31mm) with a screw shape that resists loosening or snapping. Confirm your barrel takes 2BA points before ordering.
